First Salt & Wood Firing with @krumsted at the @craigardan kiln was unreal.

It was 10 days of learning, glazing, outdoor cooking, gorgeous views of the Adirondacks, river swimming and a group firing that lasted 17hrs 10 min 🔥

It's been over a month and I'm still captivated by all my woodfired treasures. I keep finding a drip of ash here, a kiss of flame there, little details to love and sometimes not to love. That’s the beautiful, unpredictable nature of this process.

First Salt & Wood Firing with @krumsted at the @craigardan kiln was unreal.

One last throw for the road! Managed to get this Calla Lilly Lantern done in time. Doña Cata y sus alcatrazes always make it into my work in one way or another.

Obvara Raku is one of my favourite techniques. It responds to each pieces' surface and creates landscapes and topographic elements that are almost ethereal. Everytime we do a group firing I learn a little more.

Also, shout out to @tamaragcg who did my personal branding. Working with other designers and creatives is such a rewarding process.
